Check the following before removing and installing the switches on your keyboard:

Identify whether your keyboard’s circuit board is hot-swappable or soldered. Electrical components on hot-swappable circuit boards are easier to take out without using any specific tools while soldered boards require desoldering to remove or replace them.
- Check what mounting type your keyboard supports: 3-pin or 5-pin switches.

Switch puller

Soldering components (for keyboards with soldered circuit board)

Unplug the keyboard from your PC.

Remove the keycap from the keyboard. See How to replace keycaps on a Razer keyboard for detailed instructions. For non-Razer keyboards, check your device’s manual.

Gently pull out the switch using a switch puller. For keyboards with soldered switches, desolder the switch from the circuit board first.

Insert your preferred mechanical switch replacement. Ensure the pins are aligned properly. Solder the switch accordingly for keyboards that require it.
Note: Ensure to follow soldering safety guidelines.

Reattach the keycap. Firmly push it into place.

Plug the keyboard into your PC and test the keys.
