STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS

Before you start

  1. If using a laptop, ensure it is plugged into a wall outlet. Do not let it run on battery alone.

  2. Save all files and close all programs.

  3. Download the latest firmware updater on your Windows PC.

Update Process

Via firmware updater
  1. Run the updater.

  2. Click "Yes" if the User Account Control window pops up.

  3. Click "NEXT" to proceed. The updater will close all running Razer applications.

  4. Select which device to update. At this point, you can select the HyperSpeed Wireless Dongle first and then click "NEXT".

  5. Ensure the dongle is unplugged, then click “NEXT”.

  6. Plug the HyperSpeed Wireless Dongle into the PC and then click "NEXT".

  7. Long press the XBOX button to power on the controller.

  8. Press the "Function" + "Menu" + "X" buttons to enter Xbox mode.

  9. Click "UPDATE".

  10. Wait for the update process to complete. Do not interrupt.

  11. When the update process is successful, click "NEXT".

  12. Check and make sure the controller is not connected via the wireless dongle or USB cable. Click "NEXT".

  13. Connect the controller to your PC using the USB cable and then click "NEXT".

  14. Click "UPDATE".

  15. Wait for the update process to complete. Do not interrupt.

  16. When the update process is successful, click "NEXT".

  17. Click "EXIT" when the update process is completed.

 
Via Razer Controller Setup for Xbox
  1. Click “Update Now”.

  2. Click “Update”.

  3. Wait for the update process to complete. Do not interrupt.

  4. When the update process is successful, click "NEXT".

  5. Unplug the dongle and connect the controller to your PC using the USB cable.

  6. Click “Update”.

  7. Wait for the update process to complete. Do not interrupt.

  8. Click "Done" when the update process is complete.
