The Razer Sila has a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port that provide shared network access for USB storage devices with the following formats: FAT, FAT 32 and NTFS. These devices should have a single partition. Follow the steps below to set up the device as shared USB Storage.

  1. Connect the USB storage device to either the USB 3.0 (green) or USB 2.0 port (black).
  2. Plug an additional power supply if required by the storage device.
  3. Launch your web browser and access sila.razer.com.
  4. Enter your Razer Sila’s admin password.
  5. Select “Storage” from the menu on the left.
  6. If you cannot see the storage device displayed (USB 1 is the USB 2.0 port and USB 2 is the USB 3.0 port), click on "Detect".
  7. For file and printer sharing, enable Samba* under "Available Services".
*Samba provides file and print services for various Microsoft Windows and Apple iOS clients. It is typically used within a home network. File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used for the transfer of computer files between a client and a server on a computer network. It is typically used for file transfers over the internet.

Note: Razer Sila is acting as the FTP server for USB storage and its IP address cannot be changed.
