The Razer Sila has a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port that provide shared network access for USB storage devices with the following formats: FAT, FAT 32 and NTFS. These devices should have a single partition. Follow the steps below to set up the device as shared USB Storage.
- Connect the USB storage device to either the USB 3.0 (green) or USB 2.0 port (black).
- Plug an additional power supply if required by the storage device.
- Launch your web browser and access sila.razer.com.
- Enter your Razer Sila’s admin password.
- Select “Storage” from the menu on the left.
- If you cannot see the storage device displayed (USB 1 is the USB 2.0 port and USB 2 is the USB 3.0 port), click on "Detect".
- For file and printer sharing, enable Samba* under "Available Services".
*Samba provides file and print services for various Microsoft Windows and Apple iOS clients. It is typically used within a home network. File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used for the transfer of computer files between a client and a server on a computer network. It is typically used for file transfers over the internet.
Note: Razer Sila is acting as the FTP server for USB storage and its IP address cannot be changed.
