A Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows you to access your home network securely through the Internet when you are away from home. In addition, when you are out of the country, you can use the VPN Service to access Internet sites or services that you may not usually be able to due to geographic limitations.
Razer Sila supports OpenVPN and Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) Virtual Private Network protocols in order to establish a fast, secure, and reliable connection (tunnel) between your router and a VPN server.
OpenVPN is the most advanced, most reliable, and the most popular, open-source software application being used to establish VPN connections. PPTP provides a fast and easy to set up solution for users who are not as concern over security and reliability and is the quickest/simplest method of establishing a VPN. Its compatibility with a wide range of platforms is a plus point. However, due to its well-reported security flaws, it is not recommended by most tech experts.
