In Windows, sleep mode puts your computer in a low power state and saves any open documents and applications to your Ready Access Memory (RAM). Sleep mode allows you to wake the computer faster than a normal boot up. See the steps below for the different ways to put your computer to sleep.
Select preferred method
Default settings
Pressing the button once or closing the lid will put the Blade to sleep.
Using the Windows icon
- Click the Windows icon or press the Windows key on your keyboard.
- Click the "Power" icon.
- Select "Sleep".


Change how your computer goes to sleep
- Go to “Settings” > “System” > “Power & Sleep”.

- Click on “Additional Power settings” to open Power Options.

- Click “Choose what the power buttons do”.

- Choose your preferred power option and click "Save changes" to apply the new setting. In this window, you can also change what happens when you close the lid. By default, closing the lid should set the computer to sleep.
