Below are the steps to connect the Razer Sila to a gateway.

  1. Enable bridge mode of your Razer Sila. See How to operate the Razer Sila router in bridge mode for instructions.

    Note: When Razer Sila is in bridge mode some of its features will not be available such as QoS, guest networking, and so on.

  2. Enable bridge mode of your gateway. Refer to your gateway’s manual for instructions.

    Note: A small number of ISPs (Verizon FiOS) do not allow you to run their gateway in bridge mode for all of their internet protocol television (IPTV) services.

  3. Add a Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) to the gateway.

  4. Assign the Razer Sila to the gateway’s DMZ. This is to avoid stability issues associated with having the two routers in your network.
