Display tearing occurs when a screen shows bits and pieces of multiple frames at the same time. In the video, this creates a “torn” look as edges of objects do not line up. This can be caused by outdated drivers or running incompatible programs.
To resolve these issues, try the following:

Ensure Windows is up to date. See How to get the latest software and driver updates from Windows.
If you just updated Windows, install the "Optional updates" under Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options.

Update your graphics drivers. Depending on the model of your device, you may have either or both Intel Graphics and Nvidia Graphics drivers installed. Consult your device manual for more information.
If updating the drivers do not resolve the issue, follow the steps below:

Open the game where you experienced the issue and look for the video or display settings.

Find the setting that enables v-sync and make sure it is enabled.

If you still experience display tearing, the issue might be caused by your NVIDIA driver. Uninstall your NVIDIA driver and install a stock version.

If the above steps did not resolve your issue and you have determined that it is not being caused by a third-party application, consider doing a system recovery or factory reset.
