A USB storage device stores digital information or files. When connected, the USB storage device acts as a remotely-accessible file storage option for all devices connected to the Razer Sila. An unrecognized USB storage device is often due to improper device format or storage device hardware failure.
To resolve the issue, follow these steps:
- Format your USB storage device in FAT, FAT 32, or NTFS.
- Make sure that your USB storage device has only one partition.
-
Plug your USB storage device if it requires an additional power supply to work.
-
Verify that your USB storage device does not have faulty hardware.
-
Look for its LED indicator and see if it lights up.
-
If no LED indicator can be found, insert the storage device to a computer and check if it works.
-
- Properly insert the USB storage device to either a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port.
- Access the Razer Sila web UI by opening a browser and entering 192.168.8.1 or sila.razer.com on the address bar.

- Go to “Storage”.

- Verify that the storage device is displayed.

- Click “Detect” if the storage is not detected
