Effective February 3, 2026, Razer Synapse 3 will no longer receive updates or support cloud services. After this date, cloud syncing of configurations across PCs using the same Razer ID will be disabled.
Note: Your installed devices will continue to be configurable in Razer Synapse 3. However, if you uninstall these devices completely, you will need to upgrade to Razer Synapse 4 to continue customization.

Follow the steps below to fix Razer Synapse when it crashes or fails to start.
Important:
- Check your firewall or antivirus software configuration to ensure it is not blocking the app.
- Ensure your system specifications have met the requirements.
Choose an option
Razer Synapse for Mac
Perform either one of the following to fix the issue.
Log in using your RazerID.
Go to “Launchpad” and type “Razer” in the search bar.
Click the app to launch.

Click "LOG IN".

Enter your email address and password then click “LOG IN”.
Ensure “Razer” is not running at 0%.
Press “command” + “space” to open Spotlight Search.
Type “Activity Monitor” and press “Enter”.
Check the CPU consumption for RazerAppEngine.
If the issue persists, perform a clean reinstallation of Razer Synapse for Mac. See the answers below for more details.
Razer Synapse 4
Perform either one of the following to fix the issue.
Log in using your RazerID.
Right-click on the Razer Synapse icon in the system tray and click “Log In”.

Click "LOG IN".

Enter your email address and password then click “LOG IN”.
Run Razer Synapse as administrator.

Check your anti-virus and ensure “RazerAppEngine” is not blocked and excluded from it.
Ensure “RazerAppEngine” is not running at 0%.
Open Task Manager.
Check RazerAppEngine’s CPU consumption under Processes.

If the issue persists, perform a clean reinstall of Razer Synapse. See the answer below for more details.
Razer Synapse 3
Log in to your Razer ID account.
Right-click on the Razer Central icon in the system tray.
Click on "Log In", and enter your registered RazerID or Guest account.

Run Razer Synapse 3 as administrator.

Run "Task Manager" if the issue persists.
Go to “Services”.
Check if the following services are running:
- Razer Central Service
Razer Synapse Service

Right-click on “Razer Central Service”.
Select “Start” or “Restart”.
Do the same for “Razer Synapse Service”.
