This is a quick guide on how you can troubleshoot your Web camera on your Razer Blade.

Issues with the web camera on your Razer Blade are usually caused by outdated software. This can be fixed by downloading and installing the latest driver updates.

  1. Ensure Windows is up to date. See How to get the latest software and driver updates from Windows.

If you just updated Windows, please install the "Optional updates" under Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options.

  2. Restart the device and test if the issue is still present after the reboot.

  3. Check if your webcam is working properly. Go to Start > Device Manager. Under “Device Manager”, select and expand “Cameras”.

    Click Device Manager

    Select USB Camera

  4. Right-click “USB Camera” and do the following:
    • Enable the device if it is currently disabled

    • Disable the device if currently Enabled, restart the Razer Blade, then re-enable the device again.

    • Update Driver Software to check for updates.

    • Uninstall device, then restart the Razer Blade to reinstall the driver.

  5. Ensure that you have the latest version of Skype. Download and install the latest version then make sure that you have selected the correct camera in your Skype settings. Go to Settings > Audio & Video then select “USB Camera”.

    Select "USB Camera" under Camera

  6. If your camera still does not work in Skype and you have verified that the camera is operational, visit Skype Support for additional assistance.
