Windows Network Diagnostics resolves most internet connection issues. If your Razer Blade is dropping your WiFi connection, follow these steps:
-
Right-click the “Network” icon on the system tray at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
-
Select “Troubleshooting problem” to run a diagnostic and determine the problem.
-
Follow the troubleshooting steps provided by the Windows Network Diagnostics to resolve the issue.
Note: Ensure Windows is up to date. See How to get the latest software and driver updates from Windows.
If you just updated Windows, please install the "Optional updates" under Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options.
If you are constantly getting disconnected from your Wi-Fi connection or unable to connect to your Wi-Fi, follow the steps below:
-
Connect a different device (laptop or mobile phone) to the same network and check if the same issue occurs. If this is the case, then the issue is on your wireless router.
-
Powercycle your wireless router. To do this, turn it off for 10 seconds and then turn it back on.
-
If the issue persists, your router can be defective and needs to be replaced.
If the issue only occurs on your Blade and not on other devices, do the following:
-
Restart your Blade and check if the issue still occurs.
-
Run a complete computer scan. Some viruses and spywares can cause performance issues such as internet disconnection.
-
If you still cannot connect to your wireless network, reinstall your wireless adapter:
-
Go to “Device Manager”.
-
Expand “Network Adapters”.
-
Right-click the wireless adapter and select "Uninstall device".
-
Proceed with the uninstallation process.

-
-
Go to “Action” under “Device Manager”and click “Scan for hardware changes”.

Note: The Blade will detect your wireless adapter and automatically install it.
-
Restart your Blade after the installation is finished.
-
Try connecting to your Wi-Fi.
