Go to the Apple menu > System Settings.

Click on "Users & Groups" in the sidebar.

Select the user "your name" from the list of users on the right.

Hold down the Control key and click on the account name "your name".

Select "Advanced Options" from the context menu that appears.

Check and ensure your “Username” and “Home directory” have the same name.
If your “Username” and “Home directory” do not match, it will cause the “Software not ready” message to appear.
