How do I download and use apps for the Razer Stargazer via Razer Synapse?

Click the "Razer Stargazer Supported Apps" Website button in Razer Synapse to visit a list of Intel® RealSense™ applications that are supported by Razer Stargazer. The website will provide a link to the developer website and the location to download the supported application. 

How do I enable 60 frames-per-second video capture with the Razer Stargazer for my broadcasts?

  1. Use Open Broadcaster Software and XSplit to configure the resolution and frames-per-second capture rate of the Razer Stargazer.
  2. Select 720p and the 60 frames-per-second option will appear.

How do I make Razer Synapse and my camera feed visible in streaming applications?

Close all applications that are using Razer Stargazer so that the resources can be freed up for Razer Synapse to access the Stargazer.

Note: Minimize Razer Synapse to the system tray before using other applications to reduce the chances of resource sharing issues between multiple applications.

How do I keep my webcam feed active in streaming apps?

  1. Close the app.
  2. Unplug and replug the Razer Stargazer.

How do I use Dynamic Background Removal with third-party applications?

  1. Refer to the list of applications provided.
  2. Check if the application is supported by Intel and Razer. 
  3. Enable the option for "Intel® RealSense™ Dynamic Background Removal" if it is supported.
  4. Follow the instructions provided.

Note: Ensure that "Intel Real Sense Depth Camera Manager" is installed, and Stargazer is plugged in when installing third-party applications.

General Information

Can I use the Razer Stargazer to capture audio for my broadcasts?

For the best quality audio capture, use a Razer Seiren or Seiren Pro digital microphone.

Can I use the Razer Stargazer simultaneously on more than one app running on my computer?

Yes, if two or more apps running are using the same settings such as background segmentation in more than one broadcasting app, or resolution. However, if the apps are running with different settings, the Razer Stargazer will function on a first-come, first-serve basis. Other apps requesting a different resolution, or use-case, will produce an error.

Can I use the Razer Stargazer as a standard 2D webcam?

Yes. All video-conferencing and broadcasting apps will recognize the Razer Stargazer as a standard webcam.

All new Products will have the Warranty Periods listed above, subject to applicable local law. Certain "end of life", sell out or discontinued Products may have a shorter Warranty Period; this will be clearly marked at the time of purchase and the given Warranty Period will be stated at that time. Refurbished Products purchased from Razer.com will have the lesser of a 1 year warranty period or the warranty period as stated above. Refurbished products not purchased from Razer.com will have a 90 day warranty period. [a] If you are a customer outside of the U.S. and have validly purchased a Razer Extended Warranty for your product, the Warranty Period shall be extended for another one (1) year period, to be a total of two (2) years commencing upon the date of retail purchase of your Razer Product. The Razer Extended Warranty does not apply to batteries. Aside from the change to Warranty Period, the Razer Extended Warranty does not alter any other terms and conditions of the Limited Warranty.

[b] Products purchased prior to October 1st, 2018 maintain the original 1 year warranty (keyboards with mechanical switches maintain original 2 year warranty).

[c] Warranty period for Razer Firefly HyperFlux is 2 years.

[d] Products purchased prior to October 1st, 2018 maintain the original 6 month warranty.

[e] Limited Warranty: The Razer Iskur is free from defects in workmanship, materials and construction for three years from the date of purchase. In the event that a defect is found, the manufacturer will either repair or replace the defective item, at its discretion. Exclusions and Limitations: This Limited Warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, minor cosmetic abnormalities and normal wear and tear, including without limitation scratches, dents, discoloration and tears in the head pillow, seat cushion, PU leather, Armrest and stitches of the upholstery.
