Razer Thunderbolt Dock Chroma shuts down and loses all device connections

This answer troubleshoots the Razer Thunderbolt™ 4 Dock Chroma when the devices connected to it are not detected by the system.

 

Step-by-step process

  1. Disconnect all devices from the Thunderbolt dock.

  2. Power off the Thunderbolt dock.

  3. Disconnect then reconnect the Thunderbolt dock to the laptop.

  4. Power on the Thunderbolt dock.

  5. Open the Start Menu and click on "Settings".

  6. Select "Apps" > "Apps and features" and look for Thunderbolt Control Center.

    Note: On some laptops, the Thunderbolt Control Center may not be available. In this case, check the Windows USB4 settings instead to see if the dock is detected.   7. Click "Advanced options".

  9. Restart the PC or laptop that is connected to the Thunderbolt Dock.
