Adaptive Battery on the Razer Phone uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to determine when you need power for the apps you use most and turn off or limit power to apps you use least, or if they are in the background. For example, if you like to use Instagram a lot, the OS learns this over time and when you put the app in the background, it knows that "My owner likes to use this app, so I won't restrict it too much when it's in the background." However, let u say there is an app you are using for a trip to Italy that requires location services. You use it, then put it in the background. Adaptive Battery understands that "This is an app my owner rarely uses and I see that it is pinging for location all the time even in the background, I am going to restrict it so it does not ping as often (or not at all depending on circumstances)".
You can find Adaptive Battery under “Settings” > “Battery” and toggle it on or off.
