Razer keyboard does not work at startup after a cold start

This article shows you how to fix a keyboard that does not work after a cold start.

This issue can be caused by an incorrect setting. To resolve this, ensure that the USB ports are not in hibernation mode. Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your Windows “Device Manager”.
  2. Click the > sign next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
  3. Right-click on any “Root Hub” and select “Properties.”
  4. Click the "Power Management" tab and ensure that “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” is unchecked.
  5. Proceed to do this under each Root Hub.
  6. Right-click on the "Battery" icon on your system tray at the bottom left of your desktop.
  7. Select "Power Options".
  8. Click "Choose when to turn off the display".
  9. Click "Change advanced power settings".
  10. Navigate through Sleep > Hibernate after > Plugged in (Minutes). Make sure that you choose "Never.
  11. Click "Apply" to save your changes then click "OK" to close the window.
