STEP BY STEP PROCESS

  1. Download the latest driver updater.

  2. Click “ASIX_USB_Device_Installer_v2.0.0.dmg”. If this window pops out, click “OK”.

  3. Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy to open the installer. Select “Click the lock to make changes” and enter your system’s password. After that click “Open Anyway”.

  4. Click “Allow”.

  5. The Asix USB Device Installer will open and click “Continue”.

  6. Click “Continue”.

  7. Select “Install”.

  8. Enter your system’s username and password and click “Install Software”.

  9. After the installation, take note to open the Asix App for further instructions. Click “OK”.

  10. Click "Restart".

  11. After reboot, open Launchpad and search for “ASIX_USB_Device_App”. Click on the app.

  12. Follow the installation flow provided by the Asix App.

  13. After following steps 1 and 2, the System Extension Blocked window will pop up. Select “Open Security Preferences”.

  14. Click on “Click the lock to make changes” and enter the system’s password.

  15. After unlocking, click on “Allow”.

  16. Reboot the system and plug in Core X. Successful installation should have “AX88179” connected.
