| Answer ID: 5507
This article provides instructions on how to resolve the Razer Core X or Core X Chroma GPU connection issue after updating to Mac OS Big Sur.

Scenario: After updating my Macbook’s OS to Mac OS Big Sur, my Core X or Core X Chroma no longer detects the GPU.

To resolve this issue, check if the GPU is connected properly and perform the following steps:

  1. Confirm that the Macbook is still charging and its USB port is working by connecting other devices such USB mouse or keyboard.

  2. Make sure that your GPU is supported. Check out List of compatible graphic chipsets with Razer Core X and Razer Core X Chroma for the list of supported GPUs.

  3. Unplug and plug the GPU into the PCI slot.

  4. Start up and try again to see if the Macbook detects the GPU.

If the troubleshooting steps above do not resolve the issue, contact either Apple or the GPU card vendor (such as AMD) for available drivers.
