Scenario: When my Razer Blade 14” (2021) is not running many programs, the VRAM utilization can be as high as 99%. How do I fix this?

The Razer Blade 14” (2021) has both Dedicated GPU (dGPU) and Integrated GPU (iGPU). The allocated VRAM Razer Blade 14” (2021) is 512 GB iGPU, while the dGPU can be 8 GB or 16 GB. This can be seen as highly utilized.
The Dedicated memory (dGPU) and shared memory (iGPU) are described as the following:
-
Dedicated memory is a memory that is exclusively reserved for use by the GPU and is managed by VidMm. This is also known as the VRAM. On iGPUs, this is the amount of system memory that is reserved for graphics.
Note: Most iGPUs typically use shared memory because it is more efficient.
- Shared memory is a system memory that can be used by the GPU. Shared memory can be used by the CPU or as “video memory” for the GPU when needed.
Set the dGPU as your preferred graphics processor to maximize the GPU of your blade. See the following answer for more details.
