How to record game audio using the Razer Ripsaw HD game capture card

This article provides instructions on how to record game audio using the Razer Ripsaw HD capture card with OBS.

 

Step-by-step process

  1. Ensure that your setup is correct. See  How to set up the Razer Ripsaw HD for more details.

  2. Set your playback audio device.

    1. For PC, set to Ripsaw HD.

      Select playback device on Windows

    2. For console, set the audio output to HDMI.

  3. Add an Audio Input Capture device in OBS.

  4. Select “Create New” and click “OK”.

  5. Select “Microphone (Razer Ripsaw HD HDMI)” and click “OK”.

    You should now be able to record your game audio.

  6. Confirm that OBS is receiving audio when you see the green bars under “Audio Input Capture”.

  7. Monitor the audio through your streaming PC.

    1. Open the “Advanced Audio Properties”.

    2. Click on the cog icon in the Mixer section.
