This is a step-by-step process on how to properly set up the Razer Ripsaw HD from attaching cables to setting up OBS.
Note: The version of OBS Studio shown in the video may appear slightly different from yours.

Step-by-step Process

Connect the included HDMI cable from the HDMI port of your PC or gaming console to the HDMI input port of the Razer Ripsaw HD.

Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the HDTV or monitor to the HDMI pass-through port of the Razer Ripsaw HD.

Connect the included USB 3.0 Type-C to Type-A cable from the USB 3.0 port of your recording PC to the Type-C port of the Razer Ripsaw HD. The status indicator of your Razer Ripsaw HD will light up to indicate that it is powered on.

Note: Connect a microphone to the microphone input port if you want to add audio commentary to your streams.

Connect an analog audio output device (such as a headphone) to the headphone port. This will allow you to listen to all audio being captured or streamed by the Razer Ripsaw HD at the same time.

You are now ready to use your Razer Ripsaw HD with OBS Studio.
The following steps will guide you on how to use your Razer Ripsaw HD with OBS Studio.

Download and install OBS Studio from obsproject.com.

Launch OBS Studio.

Run the Auto-Configuration Wizard by clicking “Yes” when prompted and follow on-screen instructions.

If the Auto-Configuration Wizard popup did not appear right after launching OBS for the first time or if you want to re-do the configuration, do the following:
- Go to “Tools”.
- Click on “Auto-Configuration Wizard”.

Set up an audio device.
- Click on the + icon in the Sources box then select “Audio Input Capture”.
- In the Create/Select Source window, select “Create New” and click “OK”.
- In the Properties window, select “Microphone (Razer Ripsaw HD HDMI)” and click “OK”.

Add a video source.
- Click on the + icon in the “Sources” box then select “Video Capture Device”.
- In the Create/Select Source window, select “Create New” and click “OK”.
- In the Properties window, select “Razer Ripsaw HD HDMI” and click “OK”.
Ensure to double-check your settings before clicking “Start Streaming” or “Start Recording”.
