How to check if your Razer Blade supports Device Encryption

This answer shows the process on how to check if your device supports Device Encryption.

Run System Information as administrator.

  1. Press the Windows key or click Start.

  2. Search for "System Information".

  3. Right-click then select "Run as administrator".

  4. Check "Device Encryption Support" under "System Summary".

    System Information item values

    1. When "Dedicated GPU only" is selected in BIOS:

      "Reasons for failed automatic device encryption: PCR7 binding is not supported, Un-allowed DMA capable bus/device(s) detected, Disabled by policy"

    2. When Nvidia Optimus or Dynamic Switching is selected:

      "Meets prerequisites"
