How to connect the Razer Kaira wireless headset to a compatible device

This answer shows you how to connect your Razer Kaira wireless headset to your compatible device.

Follow the steps below to connect your Razer Kaira wireless headset to a compatible device.

 

Select applicable method

Via the included USB-C 2.4 GHz Razer HyperSpeed Dongle

  1. Plug the dongle into a USB-C port on your PS5, PC, or mobile device.
  2. If your device does not have a USB-C port, plug the dongle into the included USB-C to USB-A adapter cable.
  3. Plug the adapter cable into a USB-A port on your PS4, PC, or other USB device.
  4. Power on your headset. It should automatically connect to the dongle wirelessly.

Note: The LED indicator on the headset will light up solid green to indicate that you’ve successfully connected to the dongle.

If you do not hear any audio come through, ensure that you set the Razer Kaira wireless headset as the default Input and Output Device on your PlayStation or PC.

On PS5:
  1. Go to Settings > Sound.
  2. On Microphone, set the Input Device to your Razer Kaira wireless headset.
  3. On Audio Output, set the Output Device to your Razer Kaira wireless headset.
On PS4:
  1. Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices.
  2. Set the Input Device and Output Device to your Razer Kaira wireless headset.
On PC or Laptop:
  1. Right click on the sound icon on the system tray then select “Open Sound Settings”.
  2. On the Sound window, set your Razer Kaira wireless headset as the default Output and Input device.

Via Bluetooth

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your PC or mobile device.
  2. Power on the headphones.
  3. Press and hold the Razer SmartSwitch / EQ button for five seconds to activate Bluetooth pairing mode.
  4. Follow your device’s instructions.
  5. Select your Razer Kaira wireless headset from the list of found devices. The status indicator will briefly change to static blue to indicate that the headset is now paired to your device via Bluetooth.
