If your Razer Edge does not turn on, the most likely cause is an insufficient battery charge or a random software error that could easily be remedied by a hard reset.
Determine which issue you are experiencing by following the steps below:
-
Plug-in the charger to the device and check to see if the dynamic battery charging icon is showing up.
-
If the device does not indicate charging, ensure you are using the adapter and cable that came with the Razer Edge.
Note: Some third-party peripherals don’t reach the specifications set for the Razer Edge and will not be able to charge the tablet correctly. Also, the use of unrated peripherals causes harm.
-
Check if there is any debris blocking the charging ports and the outlet to ensure a steady power connection.
-
Test the device by plugging it into another power outlet or source such as a power bank.
-
Consider leaving the device charging for at least an hour if your device’s battery was completely depleted.
-
If the issue persists, remove the power adapter and attempt to charge the Razer Edge on a computer that has a USB-C port.
-
If the issue persists, use a third-party USB-C charger.
-
-
Perform a hard reset by simultaneously pressing and holding the Power and Volume Up buttons for seven to 10 seconds.
