If you encounter blank display issue on your Razer Edge 5G, the most probable causes are the following:
- Empty battery
- Faulty adapter or cable
- Dirt or debris on charging ports
Below are the steps to fix blank display issue on your Razer Edge.
-
Ensure the Razer Edge has enough battery charge left. If the tablet’s screen turns on then goes blank immediately, it means the battery must be charged longer.
Note: Make sure the tablet is charging properly by looking out for the charging indicator on the screen. If the battery was completely drained, it takes more than a few minutes for the indicator to appear. Leave the device to charge for at least an hour before turning it on again. -
Use only the adapter and cable which came with the Razer Edge.
Note: Some third-party devices do not reach the specifications set for the Razer Edge and will not be able to charge the tablet correctly. Worse, using unrated peripherals can result in injury. -
Clean any debris blocking the charging ports and the outlet to ensure a steady power connection.
-
Test the tablet by plugging it into another power source such as an external power bank or another power outlet in the house.
-
If the issue persists, remove the power adapter, and charge the Razer Edge on a computer that has a USB-C port.
Note: If the tablet charges successfully, the power adapter may be defective. -
Consider using a third-party USB-C charger.
Note: If that solves the issue, the USB-C cable may be defective.
Some users have also reported that the device has adequate power but cannot boot up into the Android home screen. Fix this by doing a hard reset on the device. Press and hold the Power button and the Volume up button for 7 to 10 seconds.
