As an industry pioneer, THX ensures that audio playback sounds exactly as its creators intended.
If you experience issues with some of our THX-enabled headsets, like loud buzzing, do the steps below:
Before attempting the following workarounds, ensure to plug your Razer device into your USB cable during the whole updating process.
Note: Not all workarounds may work for your headset.
Upgrade to Razer Synapse 4
- Go to Razer Synapse 4 download page then click “Download Now”.
- Run the installer once the download is complete.
- Click “Yes" if the User Account Control window pops up to proceed.
- Click “CONTINUE” to accept the Razer Software License Agreement.
- Click “INSTALL”.
- Skip or accept any additional app installation suggestions that pop up.
- Log in with your Razer ID to continue the installation process.

Perform a Clean Reinstall of Synapse
- Uninstall Razer Synapse from your PC and delete all Razer files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer and C:\ProgramData\Razer directories. These folders may be hidden by default, so you may need to unhide them. This is important to ensure that there are no residual files remaining that may corrupt your installation. Restart your computer afterwards.
- Go to "Device Manager".
- Uninstall every Razer product driver installed.
- Restart your computer.
- Download and reinstall Razer Synapse.
- Restart your computer.
- Plug in your headset (and other Razer peripherals).
- Run Synapse and let it download or install updates.
