Windows laptops with Modern Standby enable your laptop to wake instantly as a smartphone or tablet would while saving power.
Modern Standby vs. Sleep Mode
In Modern Standby, your device can still connect to a network and allow background processes and important tasks such as reminders and notifications to work in a low-powered state. This is in contrast with the legacy sleep mode, which stores data in memory and cuts off power from the system, resulting in slower wake times.
Razer's LED behavior when system is in sleep mode:
- Blinking green with the fans spinning when the system receives notifications or a background task.
- Blinking white when tasks are completed, or none is running in the background.
