There are several reasons that could trigger the liquid detect protection feature, including moisture in the USB-C port or cable, condensation, or debris accumulation. It is not limited to direct water contact.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
-
Check the USB-C port and cable for any debris, moisture, or liquid.
-
Turn off the device and dry it using a clean, dry towel or cloth.
-
Once any moisture or contaminants have been removed, allow the device to dry in a cool, well-ventilated area or under a fan's cool airflow for at least 5 minutes.
Note: Avoid using a hair dryer or hot air as this could cause damage to the device.
-
Once the device is completely dry, turn it on and check if the liquid detection message persists.
-
If the message still appears, turn off the device and repeat step 3 for a longer period.
