There is a “Network is Busy” error on the Razer Phone when making calls

| Answer ID: 1670
This article explains why the Network Busy error is encountered and what to do to resolve it.

The "Network is Busy" error is due to poor network connectivity and happens on poor network areas. Most of the time, the call should go through after a second or third attempt. However, If the issue occurs every time you make a call, follow the troubleshooting steps below.

Note: Before you proceed, ensure the Razer Phone is up to date. Navigate to Settings > System > Advanced > System update >  Check for update.

  1. Remove the SIM card and plug it back in.
  2. Try using your SIM card on another phone to see if the issue is with the SIM card or with the Razer Phone.
    • If the SIM card does not work on another phone, your SIM card might be defective. Contact your network provider for assistance.
    • If the SIM card works normally on another phone, proceed to the next step.
  3. Use a different SIM card for the Razer Phone.
  4. If the issue persists, back up your phone data and perform a factory reset.

The Messaging App’s voice message may have a static noise or sometimes low or inaudible sound on the Razer Phone 2.

Some Razer Phone 2 users may experiencie the following issues:

  1. The first few seconds of the audio file are extremely quiet, almost inaudible when you put the phone to your ear.
  2. The first few seconds of the audio file are covered by a loud static noise when you put the phone to your ear.

This is a known issue for the Android Platform and not the Razer Phone. Google has acknowledged this issue and is hoping to have it fixed in future Android OS updates.

Note: Any messaging apps with voice message features could be affected including WhatsApp, Line, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and etc.
