Effective February 3, 2026, Razer Synapse 3 will no longer receive updates or support cloud services. After this date, cloud syncing of configurations across PCs using the same Razer ID will be disabled.
Note: Your installed devices will continue to be configurable in Razer Synapse 3. However, if you uninstall these devices completely, you will need to upgrade to Razer Synapse 4 to continue customization.

On-the-Fly (OTF) Sensitivity allows you to adjust the DPI level of your mouse instantly without opening Razer Synapse. You can adjust your DPI with a similar effect as a DPI slider, in which the DPI increases or decreases by increments of 50, instead of the normal increments per sensitivity stage.

Choose an option
Razer Synapse 4

Launch Razer Synapse 4.

Select your mouse from the DASHBOARD.

Select a button you want to customize.

Click “SENSITIVITY”.

Select “On-The-Fly Sensitivity” from the SENSITIVITY dropdown list.

Click “SAVE” to complete the process.

The device layout of your mouse now reflects the changes made.

Razer Synapse 3

Open Razer Synapse 3.
-
Select your Razer mouse from the list of devices.

Go to "CUSTOMIZE".

Click on the button you wish to program with the "Cycle Up/Down Sensitivity Stages" feature.

Click on "SENSITIVITY".

Note: The default OTF feature of the mouse can also be found right below the scroll wheel by clicking the device’s DPI button. The default OTF should be the preset DPI stages of the mouse.

Select "On-The-Fly Sensitivity" from the dropdown menu.

Click on "SAVE" to complete the process.

The programmed button will appear as "On-The-Fly Sensitivity".

Use On-The-Fly Sensitivity button
To use the On-The-Fly Sensitivity button, do the following:

Press and hold the button programmed for "On-The-Fly Sensitivity".

Roll the scroll wheel up to increase the DPI or down to decrease the DPI.
The adjustment will be locked where you released your programmed button.
