Effective February 3, 2026, Razer Synapse 3 will no longer receive updates or support cloud services. After this date, cloud syncing of configurations across PCs using the same Razer ID will be disabled.
Note: Your installed devices will continue to be configurable in Razer Synapse 3. However, if you uninstall these devices completely, you will need to upgrade to Razer Synapse 4 to continue customization.

Can I migrate all my macros and Chroma Effects?
Yes. Along with your hardware-specific settings, your macros will be displayed so you can choose to migrate some or all.
Does it migrate my THX audio settings and preferences?
Yes. As part of the Profile Migration process, you will have the option to choose to migrate all or some of your THX profiles. THX game profile settings are also migrated as part of this process. Review for duplicate profiles so you can choose to clean up by not migrating.
Can I migrate from one Razer ID account into a different Razer ID account?
No. This tool assists in transferring a Razer ID user’s Razer Synapse 3 profiles into the same user’s Razer Synapse 4 profiles. However, you can migrate local files by using the “IMPORT PROFILES” feature which is always available in both Razer Synapse 3 and Razer Synapse 4.
Can I migrate my profiles from multiple Razer ID on the same PC?
Yes. The Razer Synapse Migration Tool will search for all profiles found locally on your PC (from all Razer ID accounts including guest accounts, provided the hardware has been used on that PC). The Profile Migration tool tab from the “Settings” will show all profiles available for porting into the current Razer ID account. Any imported profile that results in name conflicts will be handled by adding post-fixed numberings to the end of their names.
What if I only want to migrate one specific profile and not all my profiles?
You have two options on how to do this.
- Use the Profile Migration tool to select specific profiles to migrate.
- Save a specific Razer Synapse 3 profile to your local PC, then upload it manually into Razer Synapse 4.
- Save the file locally while in Razer Synapse 3.
- Uninstall Razer Synapse 3.
- Install Razer Synapse 4.
- Click on the “IMPORT PROFILES” feature for each device and upload that specific profile.
After uploading, it will be saved in the cloud if they are logged in with a RazerID.
What happens if I perform the profile migration twice or three times?
This tool migrates Razer Synapse 3 profiles into the Razer Synapse 4 platform or Chroma App. Each time you perform the migration, it will create another copy of the Razer Synapse 4 profile.
What kind of data is migrated if I have a Guest ID?
Any locally saved device profile, macro, Chroma profile, and Sensa settings can be migrated to Razer Synapse 4.

Troubleshooting
I don’t see any profiles to migrate in Razer Synapse 4
You must first have Razer Synapse 3 installed on your PC. If you install Razer Synapse 4 without having Razer Synapse 3 installed, there will be no saved profiles to migrate.
I don’t see my Razer Synapse 3 profiles that I want to migrate in the migration tool
The Razer Synapse 4 migration tool only presents profiles for backup profiles that are present on the local machine.
If users wish to access older Razer Synapse 3 profile data, follow these steps.
- Uninstall Razer Synapse 4.
- Reinstall Razer Synapse 3.
- Connect your desired hardware to ensure that Razer Synapse 3 downloads the desired profiles associated with the connected hardware.
Note: Upgrading Razer Synapse 3 to Razer Synapse 4 again will create a backup copy of the Synapse 3 profiles that the Profile migration tool will be able to recognize for migration purposes.
I want to go back to Razer Synapse 3
You can go back to using Razer Synapse 3 if the devices you are using are supported. Your Razer Synapse 3 user profiles associated with your Razer ID should remain the same and untouched. However, if you modify your profiles while using Razer Synapse 3, those changes remain part of Razer Synapse 3 unless you perform “Profile Migration” again when installing Razer Synapse 4.
I keep getting errors on the Profile Migration tool
The profiles located in the backup directory may be corrupted. You can try obtaining a new copy by uninstalling Razer Synapse 4 and reinstalling Razer Synapse 3. Performing the upgrade to Razer Synapse 4 will create new copies of the backed-up profiles.
