Why is the Razer Phone unable to connect a 4G signal?

This answer shows the steps to resolve your Razer Phone that is unable to connect to a 4G signal.

 

Below are the steps to resolve the issue.

Note: Ensure your Razer Phone is up to date before proceeding. See How to check system updates on the Razer Phone for instructions.

  1. Check network coverage on the Razer Phone.

    Note: Network signal is affected by walls, buildings, trees, and weather.

  2. Make sure that “4G/3G/2G (auto connect)” is selected. However, if you are in poor 4G coverage force your phone to use lower frequencies.

    For Android Pie

    1. Go to “Settings”.

    2. Tap "Network and Internet".

    3. Tap "Mobile network".

    4. Tap "Advanced".

    5. Tap "Preferred network type".

    6. Select and test a preferred network type.

    For Android Oreo

    1. Go to your apps list.

    2. Select "Settings".

    3. Tap "Mobile Network".

    4. Select "Advanced".

    5. Select and test a preferred network type.

    For Android Nougat

    1. Open "Settings".

    2. Select "More".

    3. Select "Cellular networks".

    4. Select "Preferred network type".

    5. Select and test a preferred network type.

  3. Contact your network provider to request a replacement SIM card if you are still experiencing the issue.

  4. Back up your data and perform a factory reset.
