If there are issues using the Sony PlayStation even with UPnP enabled, do the following:

NAT Type 2 is the goal when setting up a PlayStation. To get NAT Type 2 on your PlayStation, you need to do one of the following options:

Option 1 – Forwarding ports: Check out How to set up Port Forwarding in the Razer Sila.

  1. Forward the Sony Network ports in your router to your PlayStation. Forwarding ports, or opening ports, in your router points all traffic coming in on certain ports to a specific internal IP address. To get a connection with NAT Type 2, you will want to forward the following ports to the IP address of your PS4:

    • TCP: 80, 443, 1935, 3478-3480

    • UDP: 3478-3479

  2. Test Internet Connection on PS.

    1. On PS, go to Settings > Network > Test Internet Connection.

    2. Connection to the PlayStation network should be successful, and NAT Type should show: "Type 2".

Option 2 – Set up DMZ: Check out How to set up Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on the Razer Sila.

  1. Setup a DMZ in your router pointing at your PlayStation.

  2. Test Internet connection on PS.

    1. On PS, go to Settings > Network > Test Internet Connection.

    2. Connection to the PlayStation network should be successful, and NAT Type should show: "Type 2".
